Cookie Policy

Every cookie and storage key Cutaway uses, what it does, and how to change your choice.

Effective
Last updated

Cutaway loads nothing optional until you opt in. Analytics and browser-side error monitoring stay off by default, and the scripts that provide them are not fetched, initialised or given a chance to set anything until you accept them.

You are asked once, on your first visit, and can accept everything, reject everything optional, or choose category by category. Rejecting optional cookies does not degrade the product.

Strictly necessary
Needed for the site to work: keeping you signed in, protecting the session, and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off, and no consent is required for them.
Preferences
Remember interface choices, such as whether the workspace sidebar is expanded. Optional.
Analytics
Measure how the site and product are used, via Google Analytics. Optional, and off unless you opt in.
Monitoring
Report browser-side errors and performance problems to Sentry so they can be fixed. Optional, and off unless you opt in.

Cutaway does not use advertising or marketing cookies, does not run ad-tech pixels, and does not share information for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is no marketing category because there is nothing in it.

Sentry does not set cookies. It sends error reports over the network, which is why it appears as a consent category but not in this table.

Clerk sets the authentication cookies as part of signing you in. Google sets the analytics cookies, and only after you opt in — before that, Cutaway signals denied consent to Google's tag and the analytics script is never loaded.

The Privacy Policy lists every service that receives data and what each one gets.

Use Cookie settings in the footer to review or change your categories at any time. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser, though blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in.
